Introducing AMD "Dragon" and Phenom II

AMD plans to bring higher-performance and more energy efficient 45nm processor technology to the desktop PC market in Q1 2009 with the AMD platform codenamed "Dragon". This platform will be the second generation AMD performance desktop platform, featuring all next-generation components in comparison to the first generation AMD "Spider" platform released in 2008. The AMD "Dragon" platform is designed to harness the power of fusion by optimizing the performance of new 45nm AMD Phenom™ II X4 quad-core processors with award-winning AMD 700 Series chipsets and award-winning ATI Radeon™ HD 4000 series graphics.

Athlon X2 7750 Black Edition "KUMA"

AMD Athlon X2 7750 BE adalah generasi terbaru processor dual core dengan nama sandi "KUMA". Karena processor ini adalah berbasis dari Phenom, ia memiliki L3 cache, dan membuatnya kompetitif dengan Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200 dalam hal harga maupun kinerja.

AMD Athlon X2 7750 BE merupakan salah satu processor Black Edition, yang artinya meskipun kecepatan standardnya adalah 2.7GHz (200MHz x 13.5), ia memiliki multiplier yang tidak dikunci sehingga meningkatkan kemampuan overclocking bagi pemula.

Athlon X2 7750 BE memiliki 2 x 512MB L2 cache dan 2MB L3 cache. Menggunakan bus HyperTransport 3.0 sebagaimana halnya Phenom. Kecepatan standard HT-nya adalah 1800MHz dan akan bekerja baik dengan motherboard AM2+. Processor ini memiliki TDP max 95W, yang artinya dapat bekerja pada hampir semua motherboard yang ada.
